approving Union amendments to the specification for a Protected Designation of Origin or a Protected Geographical Indication Monti Lessini PDO
THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION,
Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, Having regard to Commission Delegated Regulation EU 2019/33 of 17 October 2018 supplementing Regulation EU
No 1308/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards applications for protection of designations of origin, geographical indications and traditional terms in the wine sector, the objection procedure, restrictions of use, amendments to product specifications, cancellation of protection, and labelling and presentation 1, and in particular Article 152 thereof, Whereas:

The Commission has examined the application for the approval of Union amendments to the product specification for the Protected Designation of Origin Monti Lessini, forwarded by Italy in accordance with Article 105 of Regulation EU No 1308/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council 2 in conjunction with Article 15 of Delegated Regulation EU 2019/33.

The Commission has published the application for the approval of the Union amendments to the product specification in the Official Journal of the European Union 3, as required by Article 973 of Regulation EU
No 1308/2013.

No statement of objection has been received by the Commission under Article 98 of Regulation EU No 1308/2013.

The Union amendments to the product specification should therefore be approved in accordance with Article 99 of Regulation EU No 1308/2013 in conjunction with Article 152 of Delegated Regulation EU 2019/33,
HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:
Article 1
The amendments to the product specification published in the Official Journal of the European Union regarding the name Monti Lessini PDO are hereby approved.
